Highlights of the 6th Edition of the 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally

An annual two-day event, the International Vintage Car Rally and Concours Show, has been successfully organised by the 21 Gun Salute since 2011. In its fifth edition, held in the year 2015, the event was an affair to remember, covering a 52 km rally route and exhibiting a plush collection of 201 premium vintage cars. The sixth edition of the rally is coming up in the year 2016, and is deemed to be the grandest so far. This time, in the wake of the advancing motoring tourism in India, we have chosen to celebrate the vast cultural diversity of our nation and discovered no better venue than the majestic Red Fort, which eminently speaks of India’s pride, glory and cultural elegance since 1648. The historic fort would lend the perfect ambience to unveil India’s exquisite blend of motoring heritage with its distinctive cultural heritage. Unlike any other vintage car show organised in the USA, France, Germany, or Italy, this one will be in a different league altogether! Along with a display of 75 exclusive, hand-picked, Indian vintage cars and 15 international cars, spectators will also get a glimpse of the various art-and-dance forms representing all parts of the country.

Weekends are the happiest times for hosting any event. So why not start celebrating right from Saturday? We have planned a breathtaking exhibition of rare collectibles along with a host of cultural performances on this special Saturday. A royal rendezvous with 75 hand-picked, premium, Indian, luxury cars of the bygone era and 15 International cars—from the venerated collectors and car enthusiasts hailing from the USA, the UK, France, Germany, China, Sri Lanka and Nepal—will be on display in front of the historic Red Fort.

    Sunday Sensation (7th February, 2016)
If Sundays are to relax, then why not relax in the corridors of a world-class F1circuit and enjoy watching the classic and vintage beauties racing on the track? Let your eyes feast on the rich display of our country’s heritage in one of the most high-tech F1 Tracks. The Buddh International Circuit, for the first time, will have the pleasure of displaying the world’s 90 most admired vintage, classic, pre- and post-war cars from India and other nations.

Also Photography Contest and Painting Contest will make this event a memorable one. Details to the contests are attached herewith.
