Honda City is going to come with diesel variants in 2012. It will be a great news for everyone.

    The variants will be like:

    - 2012 New Honda City E
    - 2012 New Honda City S

    - 2012 New Honda City V MT
    - 2012 New Honda City V AT

    - 2012 New Honda City V Exclusive MT
    - 2012 New Honda City V Exclusive AT

Honda has only one diesel Engine uptill now which is a 2.2 litre engine developed only for Europe. But City runs on 1.4-1.6 litre so that engine cannot be used for Honda City. The Japanese engineers are trying to make a diesel variant for Honda City which is expected to be launched in 2012 in India.

Honda is also going to launch a new version of City in 2012 which is already been launched in Thailand with all new front grille, New front and rear bumpers, New design for alloy wheels, New color scheme for interiors. This version of City will be available in six variants.

I had been waiting for it like for ages! Honda has finally launched the much awaited new 2014 City at a starting price of Rs 7.42 lakh for the petrol model. The new Honda City diesel’s prices start from Rs 8.62 lakh and the new Honda City Automatic will cost Rs 9.49 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The most significant addition to the new City though is the diesel engine under its hood. After three generations of the petrol-only Honda City, this new car will cater to a wider customer base. The engine is the identical 1.5-litre i-DTEC block from the Amaze and delivers the same 100PS of power and 200Nm of torque but is mated to a new six speed gearbox. It promises to be one of the most fuel efficient sedans in the country with an ARAI certified economy score of 26Kmpl.

And its new 'H' design is what makes it look more amazing!
