    General Motors announced at the launch of Tavera Neo 3 that the company would launch the facelift version of Chevrolet Captiva in the next two to three weeks. The new Captiva will be powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine driving a power of 184 BHP. GM also has Sail hatchback, Sail sedan and Enjoy MPV lined up for launch in 2012.

    GM India is expected to re-launch Chevrolet Captiva SUV in an all new avatar by March. One major upgrade is the 2.2 l diesel engine which will replace the 2.0 l diesel engine in current models of Chevrolet Captiva. The new Chevrolet Captiva SUV will flaunt a striking exterior, a broader front grill and revamped interiors. It will see a hike of 2 lakh from its predecessor putting it in the premium Rs 20-22 lakh section.P Balendran, vice-president, General Motors India stated in an interview that at present the car comes to India as a completely built unit from South Korea. He further added that depending on the demand of the SUV, the company can assemble the SUV in India. At present 100 units of Chevrolet Captiva are sold per month.
