The new 2012 Fiat Grande Punto has been launched in the Indian market today in an event organized in New Delhi. The 2012 version comes with minor facelifts made to the current model. The new Punto will feature, Tilt adjustable steering and internally adjustable ORVM's, central locking, power windows delay and a new music system with integrated CD and MP3 player with four speakers, across all variants. While the top end model will get dual air-bags, ABS and 15-inch alloys. However, the new model hash't been equipped with rain sensing wipers or automatic headlights. Fiat Punto has received a 5-Star rating in the stringent Euro NCAP safety tests. A new color, Oceanic Blue has been added to the wish list of 2012 Fiat Grande Punto. Although engine specs are same, Punto 1.2 now returns 15.2 kmpl, the Punto 1.4 returns 14.6 kmpl and the Punto 1.3 diesel returns 20.3 kmpl mileage now. The base variant is now equipped with integrated audio system and central locking. The interiors are now upgraded with new beige grey color equipments with dual tone dashboard across the range.
Fiat Punto is available in a choice of both Petrol and Diesel engines. The range of petrol engine delivers thrilling driving experience without any compromise on performance and mileage. The Active is powered by a 1.2-litre engine that generates 85 bhp. It propels the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 13.6 seconds with a top speed of 155 km/h.
